Squier Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII Electric Guitar, Copper Age

A sonic pioneer for alt-rock's last three decades, Troy Van Leeuwen has lent his forward thinking musicality as guitarist and record producer to such acclaimed acts as Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, and The Armed. Following suite to his out-of-the-box style, Squier has collaborated to deliver the Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII, a 12-string electric guitar that boasts a Tele body with a XII custom headstock to provide a peculiar but effortlessly natural playing experience.

This 12-string wonder, touting an exclusive Copper Age gloss finish, is crafted with a solid Nyatoh body, sporting a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard with chrome hardware accents. Lightweight with a warm, balanced tone, this Paranormal entry offers rich sustain and a smooth mid-range that supplies this 12-string with Tele-coded twanging jangle. Attached to the body is a maple neck in a "C" profile, secured by a signature-etched neckplate. Topping the neck is an Indian laurel fingerboard—clocking in with a playable 1.6875" nut width, this Tele is still comfortable and fairly slim despite its 12-string nature.

Supporting this 12-string oddity is a Telecaster 12-string top-load/string-through bridge, maximizing sustain and resonance while being easy to adjust to dial in the perfect feeling guitar. From the bridge, the strings lead to a micarta nut, and then get secured by vintage style tuning machines on the unique Tele XII custom headstock. These design elements are all in service to the plugged-in tone supplied by neck and bridge positioned Fender Designed alnico Telecaster single-coil pickups.
