A longtime denizen of the limelight alongside his band Toto as well as on legendary releases like Michael Jackson's Thriller, Steve Lukather's reputation precedes him. This signature model from Sterling drops in with personalized features throughout to accomplish any sonic task and reach innumerable sonic ends. Everything here begins, however, with a nyatoh solidbody topped with flamed maple veneer. This balance of resonant nyatoh and eye-popping flamed maple makes for a body that sounds as good as it looks with intricate grain patterning.

From here, this Lukather signature extends out with a roasted maple neck. Smooth and slender, this neck makes for easy trips from higher to lower registers. This neck pairs up with a rosewood fingerboard lined with twenty-two Medium frets for quick and articulate fretting. A speedy twelve-inch radius ensures fast moves across the full scale.

For its voice, the Luke HSS punches in with a pair of alnico single-coils and a ceramic humbucker. This classic mix of electronics serves the Luke HSS as a "do-it-all" instrument with oomph and articulation offered in equal measures. This versatility and musicality is only bolstered by the guitar's onboard push/push volume boost control for driving an amp or making a solo truly sing.
