Following the great lead of Music Man, the Sterling StingRay 2 centers a classic and classy musical experience. Everything here, however, starts with an alder solid body shaped to a comfortable double-cutaway form. Offering quick access to higher frets, this player-forward body shape makes for a seamless feel over the shoulder with a strap or on the knee. This resonant alder body is then matched with a roasted maple neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard. Seamless and smooth across its length, this roasted neck offers a sleek feel in the palm while twenty-two Medium-sized frets lay out across the fingerboard. A flat twelve-inch radius makes this board effortless for precise and articulate fretting.

Sonically, this Sterling StingRay punches in with two ceramic humbucking pickups. Designed for full, crisp tones loaded with character, these two pickups are quickly shaped through master volume and tone controls and swapped between via a three-way pickup selector switch. The sonic experience of this StingRay is backed up by a set of locking tuning machines for seamless stringing and sturdy intonation and a Vintage Tremolo bridge for expressive vibrato bends.
