Description

Were there ever a first "great" solid state amplifier, it's likely the Sunn Amplification Beta Bass. As not only one of solid state's great achievements but one of the most iconic rock guitar amps – period – the Beta Bass features an incredibly inventive design made for noise, grit, heat, dirt, cleanliness... you get the idea.

The Sunn Beta Bass has its reputation for a reason. Favored by the likes of Kurt Cobain and Buzz Osbourne, the Beta Bass has since made a name for itself for incredibly inspiring broken-up tonalities, championing its tubeless design as a feature rather than a bug. Onboard, two independent amp channels and inputs feature full three-band EQs, level, and drive controls that can be swapped between or blended together using the amp's included footswitch. Its analog MOSFET design produces a wide spectrum of tones that range from shimmery cleans to chunky drives to fuzz-bordering distortions. Further, built-in FX loops allow for inventive integration of effects units into the solid state signal flow where amp-born distortion may prove crucial. However you take on Sunn's classic Beta Bass, it gives back lovingly in every way.
