Taylor’s 100 series is designed to give a player of any age, experience, or style a solid Spruce top acoustic without being compromised in feeling the need for a kid gloves treatment. It is an excellent guitar through and through but without the dress-up, making it great for the campfire jam session, day at the beach, as well as the bar or club gig.
100 series Taylor guitars feature a layered Walnut back and side tonewood complement. Layered wood, while not producing as complex of a tone as solid wood, is less susceptible to weather damage. A Taylor with layered back and sides may be the preferred choice for a gigging musician who wants a dependable instrument that he/she may feel less worried about receiving road rash. In this case, the 110CE features a Poplar core with inside and outside layers of Walnut.
The 110CE features a Dreadnought body shape (denoted by the third number “0” in its title) with a cutaway and electronics (hence, “CE”). It has - what may be deemed as - the appeal to the traditionalist in having a Dreadnought body shape, but pick it up and find its 1 11/16” nut width to have a narrower feel than most Dreadnought guitars, making it all the more accommodative for a greater playing experience. Fuller barred chords are played with maximum ease for a Dreadnought acoustic! This is something to consider for those with smaller, younger hands. Other key features are onboard Taylor ES-2 Expression System electronics and a genuine Ebony bridge and fingerboard, and a Taylor gig bag. All new Taylor stringed instruments purchased in the U.S. or Canada from an Authorized Taylor Guitars Dealer are eligible for lifetime limited liability warranty coverage.
The 110CE is an excellent choice for the working rock, country, or bluegrass player and caters to the masses for any the dreaming Taylor guitar owner!
