Taylor’s Academy Series A12e is a meticulously crafted acoustic guitar that combines affordability with the exceptional playing experience synonymous with Taylor instruments. Sporting a compact body, the A12e is designed to deliver comfort without compromising on signature features.

The A12e boasts Taylor’s patented slim-profile neck features a host of player-friendly attributes, including a shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length and a 1-11/16-inch nut width. These specifications, combined with low action and light gauge strings, contribute to a smooth and slinky feel, facilitating easy playing.

The guitar's body is constructed with layered sapele back and sides, paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, striking a balance between durability and tone. The lightweight nature of the guitar is furthered by an ergonomic armrest, making playing with the picking arm more comfortable. This thoughtful design element makes sure hours of playing are physically comfortable. 

Built for responsiveness, the A12e is engineered to deliver a responsive playing experience. The combination of tonewoods and the instrument's craftsmanship results in a guitar that reacts dynamically to the player's touch. Equipped with an onboard ES-B pickup system, the A12e integrates easily with amplification setups, allowing versatility for both stage and studio performances. The built-in digital chromatic tuner ensures precise tuning, eliminating the need for additional equipment during live performances.

The fingerboard of the A12e is crafted from West African Crelicam Ebony, known for its durability and smooth playability. The 4mm Dot Italian Acrylic inlays add a touch of sophistication. Other notable features include a Nubone nut, Micarta saddle, and a Three Ring Baltic birch rosette. The guitar is finished in a matte texture, adding a tactile element to the visual allure.
