Description

Instantly eye-catching in their "next-gen" line, the Taylor Next Generation 712ce 12-Fret Grand Concert is a charmingly ornate and musical model. Taking a bend from usual Taylor tradition, this 12-Fret Next Generation acoustic assembles with a number of quality appointments and specifications for a marvelously musical Taylor.

In the Next Generation series, Taylor Guitars refreshes some of its classic models with high-quality upgrades. This 12-Fret takes a new route for a smaller-bodied, performance-ready acoustic to perform on every level. The 500 Series model starts with a cutaway Grand Concert body brought together with western red cedar and Indian rosewood. Carrying with it a warm midrange and elevated touch sensitivity, this Next Generation entry is thoroughly musical for fingerstyle or strumming playing modes. Within this cutaway, Grand Concert body, one of the Next Generation series' main upgrades shows itself: Taylor's scalloped V-Class bracing. Enhanced sustain and projection up the ante on this Next Gen model fully.

From here, a mahogany neck reaches out from the body. Another Next Generation series feature, the neck's Action Control function allows for micro-adjustments in playability and string action to be made easier than ever by players. Taylor's Next Generation guitars put power in the hands of their players to be played as they see fit. A West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard lands with this neck lined with comfortable Taylor frets and intricate green abalone Reflections inlays.

Backing up this whole experience, Taylor's Next Generation 712ce 12-Fret features a number of solid hardware specifications. An ebony bridge lands with a micarta saddle while Taylor slot-head nickel tuning machines land at the model's slotted headstock. A TUSQ nut solidifies intonation across the full 24.875" scale length. This model's vividly musical tones translate to the stage with Taylor's Claria electronics system – designed for the best live room performance possible. The Taylor Next Generation 712ce 12-Fret Grand Concert travels with an included Taylor Deluxe hardshell case.

Leaping ahead in the Next Generation series, this Taylor 12-Fret is sure to command a room.
