Grammy-nominated artist and co-founder of Sonic Youth Kim Gordon has collaborated with Fender to bring fans a unique spin on the famed offset model. Introducing the Fender x Kim Gordon Jazzmaster. Known for her work on both bass and electric guitar, Kim's musical expressions pioneered alternative and experimental rock genres, inspiring countless bands and musicians along the way. The offset solidbody is constructed from an alder body for maximum resonance, punch, and clarity. The body is finished in Olympic White and sports chrome hardware, aged white "witch hat" knobs, and a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard. A Modern "C" shaped bolt-on maple neck with a satin finish joins the body – offering a smooth and comfortable play experience. Topped with a 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, the neck features rolled edges, 22 medium jumbo frets, and white pearloid block inlay. The head stock matches the body with a matching Olympic White headcap.

Amplifying the Jazzmaster, a Player Series Jazzmaster pickup in the neck position offers more power than a true vintage example and is paired with a high output Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker in the bridge position. This particular Jazzmaster is designed to be loud, aggressive, and powerful. Supercharged! Strings are loaded into the Jazzmaster bridge for expressive vibrato control and rest in the Mustang saddles to keep strings in place from even the heaviest of hands. The tremolo tailpiece is slightly closer to the bridge than on vintage examples to increase the break angle for improved performance during bends. The guitar is brought to pitch with the Fender ClassicGear tuning machines (a 18:1 gear ratio). Kim's signature is displayed on the back of the headstock.
