Description

Versus other stereo wideners that fake it and add artificial phase shifting, delays, or frequency band manipulation, the Velvet Noise employs a fancy-schmancy technique called "velvet-noise decorrelation" that creates differences between two stereo channels for a process that emulates how real acoustic spaces naturally scatter sound. A wider stereo image holding together in mono routing preserves mixes, creating a vast stereo image without pulling the center apart. The pedal's lone knob stretches the stereo image, moving clockwise, mixing dry signal out incrementally. Minimal latency and no phase weirdness make the Velvet Noise clean and ready to play.
