Crafted to emulate the original Les Pauls made in 1958, this '58 Les Paul Standard Reissue boasts historically accurate construction methods and specifications. The guitar features a 2-piece plain maple top—each one unique—and a 1-piece lightweight mahogany back. Equipped with two unpotted Custombucker Alnico III pickups, the '58 Les Paul Standard Reissue is capable of summoning all the classic tones that Gibson is known for.  

The solid mahogany '50s Rounded Medium "C" neck profile fits comfortably in the hand and the Bolivian Rosewood fingerboard, loaded with Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall frets, provides a smooth playing surface allowing for easy navigation of both high and low frets.

Paying homage to first year of 'bursts, the finish on this guitar is something special. Straight out of the Murphy lab, The Ultra Light Aged finish treatment is scientifically engineered to replicate the properties of Gibson's original nitrocellulose lacquer used in the 1950s and 1960s. This simulates decades of light play wear, giving the guitar the look and feel of a well-loved instrument right out of the box. 

Other features that make the '58 Les Paul Standard Reissue a masterpiece include a no-wire ABR-1 bridge, a lightweight aluminum stop bar tailpiece, and aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid fret inlays. A mounted Custom Shop switch plate medallion, reissue switch backplate, and COA are also included with an official Gibson hardshell case.
