Description

The long and storied legacy of Chuck Berry can be followed through many songs, bands, and above all, guitars. In honor of a founder of rock and roll as we know it today, Gibson has produced the Chuck Berry 1970s ES-355. This historic model brings us right back to the 1970s with period-accurate design. A plain maple laminate body is combined with a three-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard for an effortless feeling in hand and over the shoulder. A Gibson Murphy Lab Aged finish brings out the beauty of this Wine Red masterpiece. Formulated to replicate a vintage finish, Gibson's Murphy Lab Aged finish gives this guitar a particularly worn-in and well-loved look and feel. This ES-355 features historically correct construction and appointments. A Maestro Vibrola tailpiece, Grover tuners, and a Varitone switch come together to make this a spot-on 1970s Gibson re-creation. To top it all off, this guitar comes with a captain's hat, a conduit bracket/finger holder, and a certificate of authenticity. This ES-335 is a particularly special creation to honor the legendary Chuck Berry. With it, an authentic rock and roll legacy lives on.
