Gibson Custom Shop 1964 ES-335 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Light Aged Pelham Blue Sparkle

Fresh in from Gibson Custom Shop, we have this 1964 ES-335 finished in light aged Pelham Blue Sparkle. This custom creation was spec'd out through Gibson Custom Shop's Made to Measure program – an excellent vessel to create not-so-typical builds using custom colors, tonewoods, and more. The result is a highly personalized instrument with a ton of personality and charm. This 335 sports a wonderful Pelham Blue Sparkle finish that has been tastefully aged thanks to the artisans in the Murphy Lab – simulating decades of an instrument that was well-loved and used on the occasional weekend gig. This 335 gets its signature look from a double-cutaway maple/poplar/maple body, two F-holes, and a solid maple center block construction. The results is an airy, smooth, yet precision voicing that can handle everything from small jazz gigs to full on stadium rock without too much feedback, unless you want it to. It's body is double bound and completed by aged nickel hardware, black pickguard, and black top hat knobs with silver inserts. A set of hand wound Custombuckers are located in the bridge and neck positions for pure unpotted P.A.F. tone. Tone can be further explored with each pickups volume/tone control and the included 3-way switch.

For its neck, an Authentic 1959 ES-335 C-shaped mahogany neck is glued into the body in the traditional set neck fashion. Its neck features a bound 1-piece rosewood fingerboard with 22 reissue medium jumbo frets and cellulose small block inlays. Strings are loaded through the stop bar tailpiece and sit on the ABR-1 bridge, slotted nylon nut slots, and are tuned to pitch with the Kluson Deluxe tuning machines. The head stock sports the Gibson logo and crown style inlay.
