Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar, Heavy Aged Faded Peach Burst

The legendary 1959 Les Paul has never looked better thanks to the our friends at Gibson Custom Shop. This limited edition collection guitar is inspired by builds Custom Shop has produced through their Made to Measure program – implementing the "best of the best" specs and unique cosmetics. Introducing the Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard in Heavy Aged Faded Peach Burst.

This '59 gets its iconic body shape from a handpicked AAA figured maple top and non-weight relieved solid mahogany body – carved just the way they were back in the day. A tonewood pairing used for decades, delivering that signature Les Paul sound – sweet, yet warm midrange with top end clarity. The body's top is bound and finished with era appropriate nickel hardware, cream plastics, and gold top hat control knobs. A matched pair of covered Custombucker Alnico 4 pickups offer authentic P.A.F humbucking power and sound. The Custombuckers are wired to 2 volume and tone controls as well as a 3-way switch for tonal exploration.

It's mahogany neck is carved to an Authentic 1959 profile and is affixed into the body in the traditional set-neck design. Its long neck tenon construction allows for outstanding resonation and sustain, making the guitar sing. Its neck is topped with a 12-inch bound rosewood fingerboard with cellulose trapezoid inlays. Completing the setup, strings are loaded through the ARB-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, rest in the nylon nut slots, and are tuned to pitch with the Kluson Deluxe tuning machines.

This LP sports a Murphy Lab Heavy Aged Faded Peach Burst. This level of aging treatment offering both a visual patina and tactile "broken in" feel. Expect simulated decades of heavy road wear and tear in all the right ways – buckle rash, dings, dents, scuffs, finish checking, and rolled fingerboard edges – it's delight to play.
