Description
The Gretsch Jim Dandy Dreadnought is inspired by the historic line of "Rex" instruments of mid-century music. Capturing the flat-top design, sound and essence of such twentieth-century models, Gretsch's Jim Dandy Dreadnought is assembled from laminated Sapele in a special sloped-shoulder body shape.
An X-Bracing pattern presents an optimized balance of woody tone and modern projection for achieving one's own vintage-inspired ideal. Playability is far from sacrificed on this model with a nato neck shaped in a "C" profile, inspiring quick moves up and down the walnut fingerboard.
Aesthetically and functionally, this Jim Dandy Dreadnought blooms with authentic style with a vintage-style pinned bridge, open gear tuning machines and a "G" graphic pickguard. Perfect for achieving that mid-century feel and sound, this Jim Dandy offers new avenues for vintage tone.
