Description
The Music Man StingRay, an icon in its own right, revolutionized the bass guitar industry with its active onboard EQ, one of the first of its kind when it was released in 1976. The Music Man StingRay Special Bass represents the next evolution of this instrumental marvel, offering a slew of contemporary enhancements that further enhance its appeal.
Specifically chosen for its lightweight characteristics, the body of the StingRay is further complemented by refined weight relief cutouts and featherweight hardware that offer optimal balance and comfort for those marathon play sessions.
Featuring a roasted maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, the Music Man StingRay Special 4 is meticulously finished with gunstock oil and a hand-rubbed wax blend, ensuring an ultra-smooth playing experience. The sculpted 5-bolt neck joint delivers both stability and full access to all 22 stainless steel frets.
Renowned for its punchy, powerful low end, the StingRay Special derives its might from the robust Music Man Neodymium Humbucker in the bridge position. The 18-volt active preamp and 3-band EQ of the StingRay serve to refine and boost your sound to your precise requirements. The Music Man StingRay Special offers a potent combination of durability and stage readiness.
Enrobed in a striking Laguna Green gloss finish with a matching headstock, this StingRay Special is carefully housed in a robust G&L hardshell case.
