It's not often you hit a milestone like sixty-five years. Because of this, we here at Russo Music found it only appropriate to ring in our sixty-fifth year as a family-owned company with something a little special. What we had in mind came from another family-owned company, one across the country, Sacramento, California's very own Kauer Guitars. Kauer, operated by the Kauer family, brought to life for us our own vision of a Kauer electric guitar – this custom Korona Deluxe.

Since starting up with Kauer Guitars, we've been absolutely blown away every time one of their custom-made models passes through our shops. It's this showstopping quality that drove us to this collaboration for our sixty-fifth anniversary.

This Korona Deluxe all begins with a standby Kauer specification – an offset-style Spanish mahogany body. Pairing up with a flame maple top, this knockout Kauer offset captures so much of what we love about guitars from its rich sonic palette to its vintage-inspired Classic Cherry Burst finish. White binding accentuates the curvature of this Korona Deluxe's body while a roasted maple neck extends outward in a Standard C profile. Fitted for speed alongside a wenge fingerboard measuring with a twelve-inch radius and bearing highly mobile Jescar frets, this Korona Deluxe is a guitar that inspires long playing sessions at every register from low to high. This whole playing experience, of course, is driven by our Korona Deluxe's tonal engine – two Lollar Special T single-coil pickups. We can't help but admit to our love for this classic sonic palette, and we also can't help but feel we're not alone with that feeling. A bridge with compensated barrel saddles and Hipshot locking tuners top off this whole experience for a guitar built to last as well as inspire.
With sixty-five years up and sixty-five years down, we're thrilled to find companies like Kauer Guitars still popping up and creating artful and inspiring musical instruments.
