A new generation for harmonizing, Eventide has releases their H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 Multi-Effect, an evolution in the iconic H9 Harmonizer formula. This built-up new version of the brand's iconic H9 Harmonizer multi-effect introduces powerful new effect algorithms, new avenues for control and playability, and an expansive internal memory for bringing the enormous digital power of the H9 to any and every musical venue.
The Eventide H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 carries over quite a bit from its predecessors, particularly the H9 Max in terms of its compact design, sturdy build, and expressive musicality. The H9 Gen 2 starts at its square one with seventy-four onboard effect algorithms including the full libraries of the Eventide H9 Max and H90. A thousand presets throughout the pedal's internal memory offer a massive catalog of multi-effecting with new engines for polyphonic pitch shifting and vocal performance. These functions are kept entirely locally within the H9 Gen 2 and its new control interface – meaning no app is required for full control over the H9 Gen 2.
Further improvements to the classic H9 form include robust control and connection functions. Full stereo routing with independent in and out ¼" connections match with a variety of effect routing options including choices for wet and dry mixing and pre- and post-effect ordering. Onboard five-pin MIDI control connections break out the H9 to MIDI-enabled rigs while ¼" expression control connections work it right into any pedalboard. With these functions, the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 proves its mettle as a tool for road warriors and studio tinkerers, alike.
