Fender Custom Shop, a cornerstone of the Fender brand, has been shaping the landscape of high-quality guitars for over three decades. Looking into the brand's history since its inception in 1987, Fender Custom Shop has been dedicated to creating instruments that embody the spirit of Leo Fender's original vision while accommodating the unique requirements of discerning artists and customers.

Under the leadership of CEO Bill Schultz, Fender Custom Shop was established to revive the craftsmanship and attention to detail that were perceived as lacking in the CBS era. The initial team, consisting of Master Builders John Page and Michael Stevens, embarked on a mission to produce exceptional instruments that would meet the needs of name artists and special-order clients alike.

Over the years, the Fender Custom Shop has become synonymous with exceptional quality and the seamless blending of both traditional and innovative designs. Their commitment to producing the finest renditions of classic Fender guitar models, as well as venturing into new and adventurous designs, has earned them a place in musical history.

The list of renowned musicians who have relied on Fender Custom Shop guitars is a testament to the brand's impact on the industry. From Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend to David Gilmour and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Fender Custom Shop instruments have played a role in shaping the sound of countless legendary artists. The company's dedication to creating high-quality, custom one-off projects and limited production runs continues to attract musicians seeking the very best in craftsmanship and innovation.

Today, the Fender Custom Shop employs over fifty talented craftsmen who continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in guitar design and construction. The team's ability to merge the best aspects of Fender's rich heritage with modern advances in technology and materials has made them a leader in the world of custom guitars.

In its 30-year journey, the Fender Custom Shop has transcended the realm of mere guitar production to become an influential force within the music industry. With a dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality and an unwavering commitment to innovation, the Fender Custom Shop has rightfully earned its place as a revered and respected brand in the world of guitars.
