Taylor Guitars Russo Music 65th Anniversary Grand Auditorium and Grand Pacific

With a brand like Taylor Guitars, you get treated to quite a few quality acoustic guitars over the years. For our sixty-fifth anniversary as a company, we called on the talented luthiers at Taylor to craft us a couple of guitars we think are truly unique. These two guitars, a Custom Grand Auditorium and a Custom Grand Pacific, come together with unique sets of woods and a fine eye for craftsmanship from the Taylor luthiers. If you've seen your fair share of Taylor acoustic guitars over the years like we have and could always appreciate something new, our anniversary Taylors are absolutely worth seeing, if we could say so ourselves.

When you go about designing your own custom Taylor acoustic guitars, there's that inherent drive to do something fresh yet familiar. Balancing Taylor's classic specifications and features while sharing some of our own unique vision, these custom anniversary Taylor Guitars come together to show off the best of their respective model with a couple special variations in design.

Both our Custom Grand Auditorium and Custom Grand Pacific feature bodies made from western red cedar and Honduran rosewood. This tonewood combination, carrying qualities of warmth and touch-sensitivity, inspires expressive and dynamic playing at every register. Each of our custom Taylors features a Taylor Guitars V-Class Bracing pattern with Sitka spruce braces. A more modern feature for Taylor acoustic guitars that has become a classic, V-Class Bracing has become an indispensable element of current Taylors and of ours. Rosewood binding wraps each body while Taylor's Aged Toner top stain color imparts some simulated age to the guitars, aesthetically. A Simons Wedge design on the back of each guitar shows off some of the geometry of the Honduran rosewood.

Playability on each of our Taylor Customs is paramount with satin-finished mahogany necks in Taylor's Standard Carve profile. These necks are matched with special ebony fingerboards. Highly variegated and exhibiting varied color patterns, these ebony boards bear Mother of Pearl small diamond inlays for an important visual element. Smaller considerations made on our Custom Grand Auditorium and Custom Grand Pacific to make great impacts include bone nuts, micarta saddles, L.R. Baggs electronics, and custom truss rod covers with "Est. 1960" engraved in them, referring to Russo Music's first year of operation.

With so many years with Taylor Guitars, we're thrilled to keep seeing quality creations from the classic brand like our very own custom models.
