Saturday, May 21st 2022 12pm to 4pm @ Russo Music Philadelphia
Russo Music is teaming up with D'Addario and TerraCycle for the return of the Restring and Recycle Event in support D'Addario's Playback string recycling program.
On Saturday, May 21st, Russo Music Philadelphia will host its Playback Event.
Simply bring your electric or acoustic guitar and any old strings you have to Russo Music Philadelphia, and we will remove and recycle your strings. In exchange, you will receive installation of a new set of D'Addario XS strings on the spot, free of charge*.
D'Addario's Playback initiative is powered by TerraCycle, an international recycling and upcycling company. TerraCycle prioritizes a mission of creating positive social change and minimizing our carbon footprint. With eight million strings already recycled through Playback and a goal of reaching ten million by the end of 2022, Playback seeks to assist in facilitating 100% recycling and upcycling of strings to minimize our own environmental impact, as well as the entire industry's.
Russo Music Philadelphia launched in spring 2021. Located at 1004 Spring Garden Street, we're just two doors down from the iconic Union Transfer concert venue. We're easily accessible from all major highways, local roads, and the Broad Street Line.
*Limit one per customer, while supplies last. Steel six-string electric and acoustic guitars only. No Floyd Rose, extended range, or nylon string instruments. Some instruments requiring service may not be eligible for free on the spot restrings.
