The Epiphone Prophecy SG is a modern take on a classic design, built for the progressive guitarist. It combines the iconic SG silhouette with high-performance features for a versatile instrument.

Epiphone has taken the foundation of the SG, a favorite of rock and roll legends, and infused it with innovative features. The mahogany body features a AAA flame maple veneer top that showcases woodgrain and adds an aesthetic element not present on all SG models. 

Combined with the body, an asymmetrical SlimTaper mahogany neck means the neck is slightly thinner on the treble side for fast lead licks, and thicker on the bass side for chunky rhythm playing. The total scale length is 24.72 inches, and the neck is paired with an ebony fingerboard boasting 24 jumbo frets, Block and Triangle pearloid/abalone inlays adorn the fingerboard, and a black Graph Tech Nubone nut.

The Epiphone Prophecy SG comes stocked with a pair of versatile Fishman Fluence pickups that offer three distinct voicings, selectable via push-pull controls on the master volume and tone knobs. With both controls pushed in, users get a high-gain, modern active humbucker sound, and pulling the tone knob out toggles the pickups to a Patent Applied For-style PAF humbucker sound. When the volume knob is pulled, the coils are split for shimmering, chimey single-coil tones.

Brushed nickel hardware means this instrument looks as good as it sounds. This SG features Grover Locking Rotomatic, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stopbar tailpiece.
