Fender King Vintage Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Ovangkol Fingerboard, Mojave w/Case

The Fender King is an addition to Fender's California Vintage series of acoustics, a nod to the guitars that helped shape the 1960s rock-and-roll revolution. Collaborating with legendary luthier Roger Rossmeisl, Fender introduced this collection of acoustic instruments that not only reflected the fearless creative culture of Southern California but also changed the face of Fender Acoustics forever. The California Vintage series pays homage to these mid-century origins, blending retro aesthetics with 21st-century performance, offering a modern alternative with classic Fender heritage.

The period-correct King dreadnought-style body of the Fender King Vintage is made with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, featuring the innovative Performance-X bracing pattern. This combination results in a substantial, bass-filled voice with exceptional detail, projection, and volume.

The okoume neck of the King Vintage sports an ergonomic, modern "V" profile with a total scale length of 25.5" and 20 frets. A tilt-back 6-in-line headstock with a maple headcap adds a touch of Fender's electric guitar DNA to the mix, and a bound ovangkol fingerboard with pearloid block inlays also contributes to the throwback look. 

Designed for the modern performer, the onboard Fishman Presys VT Plus preamp system integrates an undersaddle piezo and internal body transducer pickups. The soundhole-mounted controls, including volume and blend for body pickup and piezo, offer an accurate reproduction of the guitar's natural sound when plugged into an amp or PA.

The bold aesthetics, including the distinctive headstock shape and vintage-style tuning machines, showcase the guitar's commitment to balancing standout style with superior sound and the satin urethane neck and gloss poly body finish visually accentuate the guitar's wood, which is stained to a beautiful Mojave burst. The instrument comes with a vintage-style hard case.
