Description

For audiophiles, sound technicians, and anyone who could use a stereo pick-me-up, we have the Walrus Audio Canvas D.I./Line Isolator. This specialized box of magic from Walrus enables players to transfer their unbalanced ¼" cables to balanced XLR outs. Ensuring high audio quality and fidelity when playing live and plugging into front-of-house mixers or when plugging into a recording interface, this little box of Walrus delivers on so many levels.

The Walrus Canvas Stereo features a set of stereo ¼" inputs and two XLR outputs. Within, four special transformers are built in for the device's D.I. function and line isolation function. Completely separated, each transformer is designed for low total harmonic distortion for retaining full frequency response for either function.

Building on this experience, the Canvas Stereo Line Isolator/D.I. features a set of buttons to control signal summer, high-output padding, ground lift, and XLR phase switching for fixing out-of-phase amp sims and XLR summing for summing stereo inputs into a single XLR output. The Canvas Stereo Line Isolator/D.I. delivers a flat frequency response before 20Hz to 20kHz. When deciding between D.I. and line isolating, make sure to check the manufacturer of your gear's notes to find the output impedance of the gear you are looking to connect with. For high impedance over 1k, use the D.I. function. For low impedance, lower than 1k, use line isolation.
