The Taylor T5z Classic is a hollowbody electric-acoustic guitar that provides an extreme range of musical versatility. The T5z Series from Taylor aims to combine two worlds of tone in one lightweight package. With two humbuckers and an acoustic body sensor, the T5z can produce high-gain electric sounds or lush acoustic tones all in one guitar.

The Taylor T5z Classic has a solid mahogany top with ultra-lightweight urban ash back and sides that yield a resonant tone whether you’re laying down breezy acoustic chords or bendy distorted solos. With the T5z Series, Taylor designed these pigs with comfort-focused enhancements in mind. Chambered body edges and an armrest on the upper body edge give this guitar a fast, seamless feel.

With a guitar designed for both electric and acoustic use, a neck that can handle both chords and fast fretting is needed. The T5z’s slightly narrower 1.68”-inch sapele neck sports an ebony fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets, while the 12” fingerboard radius provides a comfortable amount of curvature for either soloing or mashing out chords.

For getting the most out of this hollowbody, the T5z is loaded with a visible humbucker in the bridge and a concealed humbucker in the neck, in addition to the dynamic acoustic body sensor in the middle position. Five-way switching controls the three pickups, allowing you to shift from easy acoustic strumming to high-octane single-note runs with the flick of a finger. Volume and tone controls placed on the guitar’s top make it easy to tweak the amplified output.
