With this limited release, the Fender Custom Shop brings out some real classy elements to elevate the whole design. This all kicks off with a two-piece ash body sorted for weight. For players prioritizing a lighter weight in their guitar, this Tele's sorted for weight quality lands its ash body with a lighter feel as the whole instrument sits just above seven pounds. The sorted ash pick that makes up this body is then wrapped in a black lacquer finish with a Fender Custom Shop Super Heavy Relic finish treatment. The Custom Shop's Super Heavy Relic level of finish wear is their highest with the heaviest examples of aesthetic wear and damage you can get from the Custom Shop. Plenty of the underlying ash peeks through the black lacquer for a multidimensional look.

Extending out, this Custom Shop piece reaches out with a 5/4 quartersawn maple neck assuming a '57 Style Soft "V" profile. The profile in question is a fairly popular one among Custom Shop builds with its fuller, rounded shape balancing vintage thickness and more modern playability. While this neck is quite playable, it also offers an interesting angle on its quartersawn wood through an unfinished Relic neck back. This neck is then lined with twenty-one frets utilizing Fender's 6105 Narrow Tall fret wire. Micarta Black facedots line the worn-in, fret-ghosted, 9.5" radius fingerboard.
