Today's 00DB Jeff Tweedy is a welcome revival of Tweedy's original signature Martin with all the world-traveled experience and tone to go along with it.

The Martin 00DB Jeff Tweedy comes together on the heels of Tweedy's monumental triple-disc solo album, Twilight Overdrive. This signature Martin assembles with quite a bit of Tweedy's customized specifications to make for a guitar that plays entirely in his image. Starting with a 00-14 Fret body built from FSC-certified solid mahogany, this model features quality tonewood construction across its top, back, and sides. The top is treated to a custom Tweedy Burst Oak Toner finish with faux tortoise binding for a unique aesthetic outlook. This smaller-scaled 00-14 Fret form is then customized with a deeper body depth than your usual 00-14 to make for a more bassy, resonant, and authoritative voice than what you might expect from the style.

Lined with scalloped European spruce braces in an X-bracing pattern, this signature Martin plays with balance and concision perfect for fingerpicking and light, singer-songwriter strumming. This tonal concision is harnessed though the model's playability. An FSC-certified mahogany neck lines up with this Martin in Modified V profile. Providing a conspicuous shape in hand to facilitate easy chords and notes, this satin-finished neck aligns with a FSC-certified ebony fingerboard. Twenty frets with Foden Style fret inlays line the ebony for an easy fretting experience and an understated aesthetic.

Tying the whole experience together, the 00DB Tweedy features a reliable hardware setup. An FSC-certified ebony bridge lands at the base of the scale with a compensated bone saddle. At the opposite end of the scale, nickel open gear tuning machines catch strings for stable and speedy tuning and stringing. This 00DB Jeff Tweedy travels with an included molded hardshell case and is stamped with a label signed by Jeff Tweedy.
