Description

The Meastro Echoplex EP-3 debuted in 1970 and was the first model from the manufacturer to feature a solid-state transistor as the originals were tube powered and included two tape heads. This early EP-3 model is one of the cleanest examples of the delay unit that has come across our shop. It looks to be a mid 1970's model and should be noted that it features a particle board housing and no front badge making it a transitional model from the era. The serial reads "27647"

This Echoplex is in very good condition. The tolex is in great shape and also shows a few pieces missing on the corners exposing the particle board housing, this is very common for a unit of this age. Pots are great shape and turn smoothly. The pinch roller is fully functional however there's some resistance when adjusting the tape speed. The hardware has some very nice patina with signs of oxidation. The unit also includes newer tape.
