The Epiphone Les Paul Modern Figured brings a forward-leaning update to a classic single-cut design, combining traditional construction with functional refinements. Its figured maple top, bound for definition, rests on a mahogany body that incorporates Ultra Modern weight relief to reduce overall heft without losing sustain. This pairing creates a familiar tonal core while making the instrument physically easier to manage during extended sessions.

A mahogany neck meets the body at the standard 24.72" scale length, shaped in Epiphone’s asymmetrical Slim Taper profile for fast playability. The 22 medium-jumbo frets are set into an ebony fingerboard, marked with trapezoid inlays that nod to Les Paul tradition. Grover locking Rotomatic tuners paired with a Graph Tech NuBone nut provide smooth tuning control and stability under heavy playing or bending.

Electronics come courtesy of a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a ProBucker 3 in the bridge. Coil-splitting, a phase switch, and a treble bleed circuit extend their range, allowing single-coil shimmer, full humbucker drive, and out-of-phase textures to coexist in one instrument. Control is via independent push/pull volume and tone knobs, making tonal shifts accessible mid-performance. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar anchor the strings for strong resonance and sustain.
