This Fender Custom Shop ’60 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic starts with a two-piece alder body in a 60 Tele Custom shape embodying a classic Tele feel. Its aged lacquer body finish bares some areas where the base alder wood grain can be seen giving the overall guitar a deep, multilayered look and works in tandem with the Heavy Relic finish aesthetically. Parchment binding on the body’s top and bottom accentuates the Dirty Shell Pink finish.

The assembly of this Custom Shop Tele continues with a 5/4 quartersawn maple neck in a ’60 Style Oval “C” shape. This classic Tele neck shape fits smoothly into the fretting hand and matches neatly with a 9mm AAA rosewood fingerboard. Twenty-one Medium Jumbo (6150) frets line the rosewood for quick and comfortable fretting across the fingers. Vintage Clay facedots appear on the board. From the first to twelfth fret, the neck measures .790” and .930”, respectively.

For the audible experience of this Custom Tele, a pair of hand-wound ’58 Tele single-coil pickups are loaded into the alder body to bring sweet Tele tonality to life. Both pickups feature their own Relic finish treatment to match the rest of this guitar’s distinct look. A ’60 Tele Relic bridge and American Vintage 56-58 Relic string tree stabilize the entirety of the stringing experience alongside a bone nut.
