Martin Custom 000-28 12 Fret High Alt. Swiss Spruce - Wild Grain Rosewood
Item ID: 1801803
From the Martin Custom Shop is this 000-28 12 Fret acoustic. This gorgeous concert-style guitar features a Swiss Spruce top over Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood back and sides. High Altitude Swiss Spruce is considered by many to be the greatest Spruce tonewood sourced in the world. Trees growing at high elevations advance at a slower rate, which contributes to a tighter grain pattern; predominately so on this Martin - with a slight break into a wider pattern in the center of the top behind the bridge. This 000-28's Swiss Spruce top contributes to its incredibly balanced string-to-string definition. Chordal and single note playing styles project with a loud, even confidence. Turn the guitar over and be greeted by a unique, ornate Wild East Indian Rosewood back. The Rosewood blank to be used for this guitar was hand selected by Russo Music staff. It starts at a relatively wider grain, and works its way into a burl-like figuring at the lower bout. Complementing this guitar's visual appeal are top and back flame maple binding, and a slotted headstock with Schaller tuners. This Martin has a big, bold low end that isn't over colored by sub frequencies. Its 12-fret reach is perfectly fit for those who play more often in the lower register. All you folkies out there will love this guitar's touch dynamics. The body shape is also a comfortable fit for all players big and small. We're proud to bring you this one of a kind custom 000-28 here at Russo Music.
