This 114ce gets its single-cutaway body shape from a torrefied spruce top and layered sapele back/sides. Its top is supported by C-Class bracing helping the guitar deliver a bold voice full of warmth and depth. The top sports a Dark Tobacco Shaded Edgeburst, black pickguard, black binding, and 3-ring rosette. Taylor's ES2 electronics system amplifies the guitar's voice and offers players control over volume, bass, and treble via the controls on the bass side shoulder.

A comfortable, slender mahogany neck is bolted to the body in traditional Taylor fashion and is topped with a smoked eucalyptus fingerboard. The fingerboard is crowned with 20 frets and is accented with Italian acrylic dot inlays. D'Addario XS coated strings are loaded into the smoked eucalyptus bridge where they are capped with black bridge pins, before resting on the saddle and nut slots. Strings are tuned to pitch at the headstock with the chrome tuning machines. The guitar comes packed in a soft gig bag – perfect for protecting the guitar at home or on the go.
