The Futura RD Custom electric guitar offers a timeless, affordable option for those who want an elevated Epiphone feel with exceptional aesthetics and electronic enhancements.

Blending the looks of the Explorer and Firebird, the silhouette of the RD is iconic and singular, and Epiphone is happy to deliver the model with new visual and sonic modifications. A mahogany solidbody creates the unique RD shape—finished in a Twilight Shift "Chromashift" gloss finish, a treatment which turns the blue base color to purple hues when caught in dynamic lighting. This finish extends up the mahogany Modern "C" profiled neck and towards the headstock, making sure the color-changing properties are seen from all angles. An ebony fingerboard tops the neck, adorned with 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets and split-block inlays, ensuring players never lose their fretting across the 25.5" scale length.

Special for the Futura series, Epiphone has created the Probucker Ignite humbucker pickup, a powerful and articulate pickup found in the neck and bridge positions that do crystal clean, heavy and mean, and anything in between. The guitar's sound is dialed with two volume knobs, two tone knobs, and a 3-way pickup selector. On top of that, the tone knobs feature push/pull mechanisms to engage coil split and phase altering modes, giving that much more flavor to differentiate between lead and rhythm tones.

A guitar is only as reliable as its intonation, and Epiphone has equipped this Futura with a Locktone Tune-O-Matic bridge, ensuring comfortable string spacing along with tonal stability. This bridge leads up to the Graph Tech nut and Grover Rotomatic locking tuners, doubling down on tuning certainty. Packaged in an Epiphone gig bag, the Futura RD Custom is ready to go anywhere.
